30th Festival Flamenco Internacional de Alburquerque

Yup, that's how Albuquerque used to be written before we got too lazy to pronounce the first "r".

If you want to get all your body fibers impregnated with the Spanish culture, there's no better thing to do than enjoy this festival.

We highly recommend attending the opening event listed below, but all the performances are sure to provide you with warmth in your soul.

As a personal favor to me, don't miss the closing event either. We'll be there enjoying the show also. We'll keep you posted on more FREE events from this festival.

Piece of cake!!!

During the summer is really easy to keep my promise.

Thanks to the efforts of a lot of people, we can enjoy of all the wonderful activities and great options we have to spend time with our kids and grow our cultural knowledge. Summer is a great way to jump start your knowledge of all the cultural and physical activities that are available in Burques for all the family. I personally enjoy the fall season more and you'll get to know why if you keep in touch.

Enjoy the list of things to do for today and the next couple of days below. Have fun and subscribe to our newsletter.

Last year we held our Summer Camp Enroll here! but in addition during the afternoon, we enjoyed public library shows, city pools, movies at the plaza, and the great parks of our beautiful city. Always the most important thing to enjoy was my loved ones company. Take into account that these events will be the perfect excuse to spend time with your kids, but if you pay attention, these events will be the reason for you to develop a deeper relationship with them. You'll talk about them, see if their interest spark, they will pretend to be magicians, artists, flamenco dancers or cajun players, etc. You will earn awareness about their interests and dislikes as well as increase your cultural competency towards new things. Today's parents are not meant to just leave a great legacy through their kids, we're meant to have fun in the process too.

In case that's not busy enough for you... this is my day's favorite.

"Huellas / Footprints" will be The Great Opening event of the 30th Festival Flamenco Internacional. Even if you don't share an interest for Flamenco (I didn't use to), learning about it is a journey full of color and enigmatic sounds, looking
at people all ages perform and kids being very professional is food for the soul.
As part of the 30th Festival Flamenco, artist Isabel Hees has partnered with the National Institute of Flamenco to create Huellas, an exhibit that commemorates flamenco artists who have visited Albuquerque in the last 30 years.
